The Conservatorium (Mandarin Oriental) is on the Paulus Potterstraat in the Museum Quarter, directly opposite the Stedelijk Museum, two minutes from the Van Gogh Museum and the P.C. Hooftstraat, and six from the Rijksmuseum. The neo-Gothic building was built in the late 19th century as the Rijkspostspaarbank, later housed the Sweelinck music conservatory, and was transformed into a luxury design hotel by Italian architect Piero Lissoni.
The hotel’s restaurants and bar serve refined dishes and cocktails, and the concierge can arrange private airport transfers.
