This is where Loetje began in 1977, as a billiards café on the Johannes Vermeerstraat. Once the beef tenderloin steak arrived on the menu it grew into a restaurant with a large terrace, near the Museumplein and the Albert Cuyp Market. The steak comes medium rare in gravy with white bread for dipping; there are also burgers, salads, fish, vegetarian dishes and a plant-based steak.
