The Pijpenkabinet on the Prinsengracht has a remarkable collection of tobacco pipes from many countries, periods and materials: pre-Columbian pipes, Native American pipes, Dutch clay pipes, French figural pipes, porcelain pipes and meerschaum pipes.
Visitors are welcomed personally and given a tailored tour, and the quiet setting suits people who prefer a low-stimulus visit. Visits for blind and partially sighted visitors are possible by appointment.
Opening hours: Monday to Saturday, 12:00–18:00; closed on Sundays, New Year’s Day, Christmas Day and King’s Day. Tickets are sold online or at the desk, where only cash is accepted.
