Art Zoo Museum is an artistic tribute to the animal world, in a monumental 17th-century canal house on the Herengracht. The roles of people and animals are reversed: you are a guest in a world where animals take centre stage. The rooms are filled with taxidermy art by Darwin, Sinke & Van Tongeren, from colourful birds and snakes to crocodiles and a T-Rex.
Explore on your own with an audio tour, and finish in the historic garden and museum bar. There are trails for children aged 4 to 12 and educational programmes for schools.
