Merkelbach is in the coach house of Huize Frankendael, an 18th-century country house on the Middenweg in the Watergraafsmeer, with a terrace by the formal garden. It is open daily 09:00–18:00 for coffee, a seasonal à la carte lunch (12:00–15:00) and drinks with bites such as cheese croquettes and bitterballen from 15:00. In summer it is often closed on Friday and Saturday for events; online booking is preferred. Card payments only.
In the evening the house can be booked exclusively for groups of 2 to 300. No parking on site; paid parking along the street and in the garage opposite.
