For more than 150 years, the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten has been dedicated to artistic development and new art. It hosts an international, multidisciplinary community of up to 50 artists, who spend up to two years developing their practice with access to technical workshops, specialist advice, an extensive library and a historical collection.
The Rijksakademie is not a museum with regular opening hours. The public can experience the artists’ work during the annual Open Studios, and at lectures, performances and screenings on contemporary art.
