Hotel Prins Hendrik is a centuries-old three-star hotel on the Prins Hendrikkade, opposite Centraal Station and next to the St Nicholas Church. It spans several historic buildings linked by little stairs and corridors, so each of the 46 rooms (for one to six people) has its own character; most look out over the station. All have a shower and/or bath, a TV and free Wi-Fi, and a lift gives wheelchair users access to the rooms.
The complex includes Café De Groote Swaen, a traditional Amsterdam café from 1789 with a summer terrace, and restaurant De Kroonprins. Reception is open 24 hours. The Red Light District, the Nieuwmarkt, Dam Square and the Jordaan are all within walking distance.
