Hotel Library is in an 18th-century canal house on the Prins Hendrikkade, opposite the Amsterdam Public Library (OBA) that inspired its name and floor-to-ceiling bookcases. Guests can read on the mezzanine with free coffee and tea all day. Centraal Station, the Nieuwmarkt and the Red Light District are 10–15 minutes’ walk.
Rooms range from singles, doubles and twins to family rooms for four or five; some are on the lower ground floor with daylight but no view. There is a lift, a 24-hour reception and free luggage storage; a continental breakfast buffet is available at extra cost. Parking Oosterdok is nearby.
