Four Elements is a ten-storey hotel on the Bert Haanstrakade in IJburg, overlooking the IJmeer, the harbour and the boulevard, near floating homes, modern architecture and Blijburg beach. Its 195 rooms use calm colours and reused or recycled materials; there are lake- and harbour-view rooms, rooms with a balcony, suites and an accessible double.
A natural ventilation system uses gravity, wind and sunlight. Restaurant FIVE, the Wind Sky Bar and a waterside terrace complete the picture. Tram 26 runs directly to Centraal Station; there is an underground car park.
