Het Mandelahuisje is a small inn on a spit of land on the IJ next to the Sixhaven in Amsterdam Noord, inspired by Nelson Mandela’s Ubuntu philosophy of connection. Besides overnight stays, its glass suite can be hired for presentations, trainings and weddings, with lunches by Surinamese chef Ivy.
Take the ferry from Centraal Station to Buiksloterweg or IJplein; from either jetty it is about eight minutes’ walk. There is no parking at the house itself. Enquiries by email.
