Red Light Secrets is a museum about prostitution in a former brothel in De Wallen, Amsterdam’s Red Light District. You walk through the rooms where the profession was practised, can sit behind one of the famous windows and read personal stories of sex workers.
The exhibition treats prostitution as a complex, global phenomenon, including secrecy, exploitation and the prevention of forced prostitution, and traces the history of De Wallen since the growth of Amsterdam as a trading port. Entry includes a small book about the area and an explicit audio tour. For adults.
