Sherpa opened in 1989 as the first Nepalese and Tibetan restaurant in the Netherlands, on the Korte Leidsedwarsstraat by the Leidseplein. The menu spans Nepalese curries and dal bhat, handmade Tibetan momo dumplings and noodles, and Indian classics such as butter chicken, paneer butter masala, biryani and tandoori dishes, with plenty of vegetarian options. Everything is freshly made. Open daily 16:00–23:00.
