Arcam is Amsterdam’s architecture centre, in a striking pavilion by René van Zuuk on the Oosterdok. Changing exhibitions explore current themes in the city’s architecture and urban planning, and the permanent exhibition Timeline Amsterdam 2000–2030 covers how the city has developed in recent decades.
Arcam organises talks, debates and guided architecture walks, and has a bookshop with maps and books. A tactile and audio model lets visitors explore the pavilion and its surroundings with other senses.
