Hotel Multatuli is in a listed national monument from 1744 on the Prins Hendrikkade, at the start of the canal ring and close to Centraal Station. Canal cruise boats leave from across the street, and Dam Square and the Anne Frank House are about ten minutes’ walk. The name honours Multatuli, author of the Dutch classic Max Havelaar.
