Van Speyk is an Amsterdam brasserie in a restored warehouse from 1659 on the Spuistraat, with four-metre ceilings, crystal chandeliers and antique panelling. The menu features Zeeland mussels and oysters, North Sea fish and classics such as stamppot with meatball, rookworst and bacon, cod with fennel, lamb chops and chicken satay, with an extensive wine list and local beers on tap.
Open Monday–Saturday 17:30–23:30 (kitchen until 22:00). Groups of ten or more get a three-course menu. There is a second entrance on the Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal.
