Café-Restaurant Amsterdam occupies the former engine house of a water pumping station from 1900 near the Westerpark, which once pumped drinking water from the dunes to the city. One of the old diesel engines still stands in the dining room.
It serves lunch and dinner, with dinner dishes also available at lunchtime; the kitchen is open 10:00–15:00 and 17:00–22:00. The terrace cannot be reserved. For groups of seven or more (maximum 15), call ahead.
