The Allard Pierson is the museum of the University of Amsterdam’s heritage collections, on the Oude Turfmarkt next to the Rokin. You can visit exhibitions drawn from its collections, and the museum also hosts events with guided tours and expert talks.
Getting there: from Amsterdam Centraal, take tram 4 or 14 or metro line 52 to Rokin. It is about a ten-minute walk from Dam Square. There is a boat landing stage right in front of the main entrance, and bicycle parking under the Rokin.
