Museum De Dageraad, part of Museum Het Schip, is behind the undulating façade of the De Dageraad housing complex, a showpiece of the Amsterdam School. It covers the art and architecture of the movement, H.P. Berlage’s Plan Zuid and the story of the complex and its architects Michel de Klerk and Piet Kramer, with attention to the expressive façades, ornaments and floor plans.
A ticket gives access to all exhibitions and a guided tour of the building (at 13:30, 14:30 and 15:30; the last tour is in English).
Opening hours: Thursday to Sunday, 13:00–17:00. Closed on some public holidays, including New Year’s Day, King’s Day and Christmas.
