Before the Second World War, the Hollandsche Schouwburg was a theatre. From July 1942 the Nazis used it as an assembly point for the deportation of Jews: tens of thousands of people were held here before being deported to concentration and extermination camps. Today the former theatre is a memorial to all victims of the Holocaust.
You can learn about its history and the stories behind the collection. It is part of the Jewish Cultural Quarter, together with the National Holocaust Museum across the street.
Opening hours: daily, 10:00–17:00. Groups of eight or more must register in advance.
